About Us
Melissa
Hathaway is a registered Occupational Therapist in Alberta and
British Columbia who combines traditional Occupational Therapy
practice with holistic healing. She has been trained in Myofascial
Release I, II and Unwinding techniques. The focus of this training
is myofascial mobilization, soft tissue mobilization and cranio-sacral
therapy. Melissa also has expertise in home accessibility, adaptive
equipment, return to work assessments and programs and pediatric
training. She has training in sensory defensiveness strategies,
including such programs as “How Does Your Engine Run”.
Melissa is involved in organizing and offering educational courses
for consumers. Her client population ranges from newborn to elderly
people. Melissa received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational
Therapy, with Honours, from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova
Scotia.
Tamie
Aubin is a registered physical therapist who focuses on
holistic therapeutic healing approaches and teachings. She has
been trained in Myofascial Release I, II, Unwinding techniques,
and Myofascial Mobilization. As well, to complement these skills,
Tamie has Cranio-Sacral Therapy training, has training in sensory
defensiveness strategies and facilitates child meditation techniques.
She uses comprehensive treatment approaches encompassing the needs
of the whole person and empowers through her teachings on awareness
and balance of the 4 (quaternity) elements for uniting the mind,
body, spirit and emotions. Tamie graduated from the University
of Alberta in Edmonton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical
Therapy and has been treating and consulting since 1993 in various
northern Alberta and British Columbia communities.
